Objectives: 
- Give students the knowledge and skills to provide an effective analysis of the socio-economic activities on the basis of accounting regularities of formation and development of the information society, the general properties and characteristics of information processes;
- Give a presentation on the latest developments and topical issues of information infrastructure.
 
Learning Outcomes:
To know:
- preconditions and factors of formation of the information society and the basic laws of its development;
- role of information technology in the development of the information society;
- problems of investments in the economy of the information society and methods to assess their effectiveness;
- the organizational structure of e-government;
- legal, socio-economic and organizational aspects of modern society informatization.
To be able to:
- evaluate and analyze different points of view on the features of the information society and the ways of its development;
- explore the patterns of development and use of information and communication technologies in a particular application area;
- analyze methods and informatics tools for evaluating the performance of the information society, intellectual capital, investment and economic efficiency of the implementation and use of information elements.
