Course unit content
|
Course objective – to supply the economic knowledge in the field of the functioning of current micro economic system necessary to develop the measures to correct it and develop general coordination mechanisms of economic behavior of market participants connected with production, processing and marketing products.
Gained knowledge and skills:
- to define basic micro-economic indicators and the peculiarities of their functioning under the market conditions; to study the principles of demand management and determine the importance of the theory of elasticity in management decision making; to study the significance of expenses for management decision making and price determination;
- to be able to use the received knowledge in decision making in the conditions under which the market operates

The course is divided into a lecture that will present the main content and an exercise. The quality and outcome of both lecture and the exercise depend on the participation of students. It is necessary to take part actively in class and join the discussion. In the exercise part, texts will be read and problem-solving tasks will be done.
