- to study development of relationships between environment and society, and applicability of market mechanizms in the area of its regulation;
|
а) intercultural:
- to understand interconnections between economical decisions and social and environmental welfare;
- to be able to analyse of existing ecological-economic situation;
- to have a techniques of environmental impact assessment of the processes of production and consumption;

Presentations, tests, brain stormings, and oral exam.

- to study environmental impact assessment in the Russian Federation and European countries;
|
- to know the principles of formation and realization of State environmental policy;
- to be able to develop draft decisions of governmental bodies on the municipal and regional levels.

- to study legislative base and institutions, regulating relationships between environment and society in the Russian Federation and Western countries;

b) professional:
- to know the experience of the RF and foreign countries in formation of environmental policy;
- to be able to develop the typical environmental actions; assess environmental impacts of planned economic activities;
- to have a skills of team work and operational analysis of environmental impacts.

Course objective –
Problems of interaction between society and environment;
Approaches to environmental impact assessment;
Specialties of legislative regulation of interaction between society, economy and environment.
Gained knowledge and skills:
- to creatively use of knowledge about specialties of relationships in the field of nature management;
- to practically apply the methods of environmental impact assessment in the projects development process;
- to take into account interests of all stakeholders and legislative basis in the process of activity, related to environmental pollution;
- to analyze an international and internal political situation in the field of environmental protection;
- to develop practical recommendations to solve nature management problems in the region.
