The course “Actuarial Studies” consists of theoretical and practical parts and is dedicated to modelling in life and non-life insurance. It allows students to apply theory of probability and mathematical statistics for estimating risks in insurance. The methods of loss reserve calculation are studied. The annuity payable is calculated for different cases. The basic terms such as survival function, the force of mortality, life and mortality tables, net premium, ruin probability, reserves, etc. are considered in variety of tasks.
