Main Objectives
- give students the knowledge and skills to provide an effective analysis of the socio-economic activities on the basis of accounting regularities of formation and development of the information society, the general properties and characteristics of information processes;
- give a presentation on the latest developments and topical issues of information infrastructure.

Course unit content |
Course objectives Give students the knowledge and skills to provide an effective analysis of the socio-economic activities on the basis of accounting regularities of formation and development of the information society, the general properties and characteristics of information processes; give a presentation on the latest developments and topical issues of information infrastructure. Gained knowledge and skills To know: preconditions and factors of formation of the information society and the basic laws of its development; role of information technology in the development of the information society; problems of investments in the economy of the information society and methods to assess their effectiveness; the organizational structure of e-government; legal, socio-economic and organizational aspects of modern society informatization. To be able to: evaluate and analyze different points of view on the features of the information society and the ways of its development; explore the patterns of development and use of information and communication technologies in a particular application area; analyze methods and informatics tools for evaluating the performance of the information society, intellectual capital, investment and economic efficiency of the implementation and use of information elements. |

Maximum semester rating – 100 points. Points are allocated on the semester part and the exam ones: 80 points are available for the ongoing work of the semester, and 20 points – for the answers on the exam. |
